From India to America — a global commitment to clean energy.
A non-profit with deep roots in India and a mandate to drive clean energy education across the United States and the world.
Our Mission
To educate, inspire, and equip every household — across India, the United States, and beyond — with the knowledge and tools to adopt renewable energy, regardless of income, location, or technical background.
Founded in 2017 in India as a non-profit organisation, Genultimus was established by a coalition of environmental engineers, educators, and community advocates committed to democratising clean energy access. The organisation was subsequently acquired and restructured by an American non-profit entity, enabling it to scale its programmes across the United States and internationally. Today, our programmes span 14 states, our guides have been downloaded over 380,000 times, and our community of advocates grows by 3,000 people every month.
Our Vision
“A world where every home generates its own clean energy — and every person understands why it matters.”
Education First
We never sell — we only teach. All resources are free, always.
Community-Led
Programmes are designed with and for the communities they serve.
Science-Backed
Every guide and workshop is reviewed by certified energy engineers.

Founded in Kochi, Kerala — A Partnership Firm is Born
Genultimus was established in 2017 in Kochi, Kerala, India, as a registered partnership firm by a coalition of environmental engineers, educators, and community advocates. The founding team, led by Ajith K Cyriac, launched its inaugural solar education workshop, reaching 40 households in its first month. Within 90 days, 38 of those households had initiated formal solar installation assessments — validating the model's real-world impact.

Ajith K Cyriac Retires — Leadership Transition
After steering Genultimus through its formative year and establishing its governance framework, strategic partnerships, and community-first ethos, founding member Ajith K Cyriac retired from his active role in 2018. His enduring contributions laid the foundation for the organisation's growth and continued to shape its mission and values. The leadership transitioned to an expanded team committed to scaling the model nationally.
Acquired by American Organisation — National Expansion
Recognising the scalability and social impact of the Genultimus model, an American non-profit organisation acquired and restructured the firm, providing institutional backing and enabling rapid expansion across the United States. With seed grants from three environmental foundations, the organisation expanded to 8 states and launched the Green Homes digital guide — downloaded 50,000 times in its first month.
Operations Ceased — Impact of COVID-19
In 2020, the unprecedented global disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic brought Genultimus's operations to a close. Community outreach programmes, field workshops, and partnership engagements were suspended as lockdowns and public health restrictions made in-person activities impossible. The organisation formally ended its operations that year, leaving behind a legacy of clean energy education that had touched thousands of households across India and the United States.
